About

The PinterTest Kitchen is a collaboration between Sharon Boyer and her daughters, Allison and Jessica. Together, the three test recipes and other projects that are popular on Pinterest to see if they are really worth your pinning attention. We post our successes and our failures – because you deserve to know when something is a Pinter-Mess!

Here’s more about the Boyer ladies:

Allison is a writer and part of the community team for New Media Expo. She currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, where her kitchen is way too small and her craft area is overflowing with supplies and half-finished projects.

Her favorite things to cook include Pennsylvania Dutch pot pie, French bread pizza, chocolate pudding cake, cherry pie, chocolate covered bacon, and crab pasta.

She also enjoys reading, zombie movies, scrapbooking, spending time at the beach, traveling, and being bossed around by her gigantic black cat, Godiva.

Jessica BoyerJessica, a recent college graduate, is a freelance graphic designer while also working at a local winery on the weekends. She currently lives in rural Klingerstown, Pennsylvania. She may still live with her parents, but that just means she gets to team up with Sharon more often to craft and test out new recipes.

She’s a picky eater, but loves to bake sweet treats. Making her Grandma’s completely homemade bread is her specialty.

She also enjoys making jewelry, scrapbooking, making homemade greeting cards, photography, and floating around in the pool.

Sharon BoyerSharon is the mother of Allison and Jessica. She lives in the outskirts of Klingerstown, Pennsylvania with her husband Jim. She works part-time at a local winery and occasionally works for a local auctioneer. She’s also very involved in running her husband’s wrought iron business. There’s never a dull moment for her.

Until recently she still had dial-up internet at home (talk about the black hole of technology). But she loves to bake and try new recipes, as long as they’re not too complicated. She also likes to sew, quilt, and do craft projects. A lot of recipes and crafts get tested in her kitchen!
