Fall is here and so is apple season. There are so many great kinds of apples available for eating and baking. Here at The PinterTest Kitchen, we like to make apple crisp, applesauce pancakes, apple pear scones, caramel apple cookies… pretty much anything with apple in it! We posted a huge list of apple recipes earlier this month if you’re interested.
I was watching Pioneer Woman the other day and she made an easy apple tart that looked delicious.
The crust part is a sheet of puff pastry that is thawed and cut in half. I forgot how easy the puff pastry is to use. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. It will make clean-up so easy. The mixture of apples, brown sugar and lemon juice will make the juices flow.
I toasted up some pecans to sprinkle on top, but you could leave them off if your family doesn’t like nuts. You can also give the tart a dusting of powdered sugar before serving. It looks pretty and adds a hint of extra sweetness.
